Chapter 5382: Visiting A Cult Leader Friend

Lady Thunderwraith bid farewell and took her leave.

Davis watched her leave before he also took off, heading towards Drake’s home.

Drake also enjoyed a huge estate in the sanctuary.

Hovering above the estate, Davis went speechless as he gazed at the western architectural structures that were now starting to resemble a medieval city instead of merely an estate.

The estate announced itself long before the walls came into view since it was tall and mighty.

Where other sanctuaries maintained clean demarcations between private residences and communal grounds, this one had swollen outward until the distinction collapsed. Western stonework rose in tiered bastions and vaulted halls, their pale gray surfaces. Pointed arches framed narrow windows.

What had begun as a fortified compound now sprawled into a dense urban lattice of plazas, cloisters, and processional avenues, all constructed in the same rigid, geometric idiom that belonged to no cultivation tradition Davis recognized.

Naturally, the estate itself had walls, but surrounding it was an entire city made up of worshipers!

After all, Drake practiced the Heretic Dream Deity Manual, a cultivation manual that led to the Divine Exalt Stage.

Still, the way it looked was strange since it was like Drake had truly become a cult leader.

Below him, the streets were not empty.

Figures moved in steady currents between the buildings, many of them clad in simple robes cut from the same undyed cloth, their postures uniformly lowered whenever they passed beneath the larger statues that lined the avenues.

The statues themselves depicted a single recurring form: a man seated with one palm raised, eyes half-lidded, the lines of the carving deliberately softened so that the face remained recognizable yet idealized. Incense smoke rose in pale columns from low braziers set at regular intervals; the scent was heavy, sweet, and faintly metallic, carrying farther than ordinary smoke should.

"Holy smokes... haha..." Davis couldn’t help but laugh.

From one perspective, it seemed as though Drake enjoyed a much more fulfilling life than he did. However, he was sure that it came with its own troubles.

The original estate walls still stood at the center, higher and thicker than the newer construction, yet the city of worshipers had grown up against them until the walls themselves served less as a barrier and more as a symbolic threshold. People clustered at the base in small groups, some kneeling, some simply standing with faces tilted upward.

A few held thin scrolls or small carved tokens; others appeared to be listening to soft, rhythmic recitations that drifted upward in fragments. None of them looked like ordinary disciples. Their spiritual fluctuations were muted, deliberately suppressed, and many of them radiated the subdued, dependent quality of those who had surrendered a portion of their Will to an external source.

Davis remained suspended above the highest tower, the wind tugging at his sleeves as he surveyed the scene for quite some time, running his Heart Intent through them.

The emotions he sensed from them were truly profound and unique.

Zealous people truly had lost their minds even if they retained their lucidity and sharpness, and he was no stranger to it since he also worshiped Natalya. He knew what kind of state it was. It was honestly worry-free and utterly addictive, but since his Will could overcome that state, he had never succumbed to it.

"Davis!"

Drake’s voice suddenly echoed, and he rushed out from his estate, flying towards him.

Davis’s gaze fell on him as he smiled, "Did I come at the wrong time?"

"Of course, you did, but since you made time to visit, how can I send you back? Come, come. My Blackburn Family always welcomes the Emperor of the Sanctuary."

"Ass."

Drake put his arms around Davis and invited him in, causing Davis to hit him with his elbow.

The two of them laughed, and they made their way into the hall.

They sat in the hall together, but Davis didn’t bother asking where his twelve wives were since he came at a wrong time. Evidently, they had been dual cultivating for who knows how long.

They chatted a bit that had no politics or duties involved. Just two friends talking about mundane fun like making fun of Fenren and the other friends, or commenting on each other’s followers with amused derision. It wasn’t until twenty minutes later that Drake brought up his foremost issue.

"Sigh, I’ve been stuck in Level Nine Empyrean Stage for a long time. I need to leave in search of the Divine Exalt Grade version of the Heretic Dream Deity Manual. Fortunately, I think it’s in the Beast Autarch Upper Realm considering the direction I’m sensing it from. Otherwise, it might be in the Six-Headed Hydra Upper Realm. Either way, I’ll have to leave to find out."

Davis’s brows twitched, "A Level Nine Empyrean Anarchic Divergent like you is going to get killed if you leave. After our successful escape, they would’ve definitely strengthened the security in the Beast Autarch Upper Realm since we made it seem like we escaped there."

Drake’s expression churned, but he merely shook his head, "I have no choice but to go if I want to improve. Can’t keep hiding and living under your grace forever, shamefully. My children are looking down on me, haha."

Davis also laughed, "What do they know? Just show them how powerful you are."

He had read the Heretic Dream Deity Manual.

It was a unique dual-cultivation Divine Exalt Cultivation Manual, so its Godskull was also different than the normal ones. It didn’t follow the same faith gathering limit as the Godskull Lady Thunderwraith was going to create.

Hence, he knew how powerful Drake was already.

He just needed three worshippers at the same stage with yin constitution and dual cultivate with them, and that alone constituted one level of prowess. Like that, the Heretic Dream Deity Manual’s Godskull allowed his prowess to increase by one level each up to three levels. Then there were two levels of prowess from the faith obtained from his worshipers, who were all below his cultivation stage. He needed as many as a hundred thousand of them, all female.

This already constituted five levels of prowess rather than the general four levels of prowess increase given by a level one Godskull.

Clearly, the Heretic Dream Deity Manual was more powerful than most Divine Exalt Grade Manuals.

Naturally, Drake didn’t need to dual cultivate with these women, but doing so would increase his faith energy capacity, making his energy reserves spike.

However, the Heretic Dream Deity Manual completely devours them, so Drake didn’t follow such a method to increase his energy capacity. It was written there that for every hundred thousand mortal women he devours, and multiplicatively more each time, his energy capacity would increase by a level until it neared the True Deity Stage’s energy capacity. Unfortunately, it could not be verified if it was even true since Drake lacked the Divine Exalt Grade version.

Drake scoffed, "Tsk, tsk, I need some villain to pop up and establish my authority coolly, but there’s no such being here. Sigh. I’ll just have to cross and become a Divine Exalt first. I’ll create my own legend there as you created yours."

"If you want to die so badly, I can’t stop you. If you’re on the verge of getting captured, get sealed if that’s comfortable. That way, I will be able to unseal you later."

"Ehhh..." Drake reeled in doubt.

But on second thought, the idea didn’t sound bad.

With the Heretic Dream Deity Manual, he wouldn’t die easily either, since he could revive from his worshipers’ collective dreams during a ritual. To kill him, all his followers need to be killed through a full blow karmic attack! That was extremely difficult.

"Sounds better, I guess, but I don’t plan on getting sealed or killed. I’ll maintain a low profile. I’ve heard from Mingzhi that there are many dual cultivation sects in the Beast Autarch Upper Realm, each one more exotic than the last. I can blend in since the Heretic Dream Deity Manual allows me to hide my aura with yin concealment, masking my yang and thereby also the Divergent aura. I’ve tested it already."

Davis raised his brows, "The Beast Autarch Upper Realm sounds like a great place."

"Hehe~"

"Hehehe~"

The two of them laughed evilly as they imagined the countless exotic beauties.

And then they sighed together since they had already picked their poison, and it was too late to be acting like a youngster with no restraint.

At most, they’d be allowed a bit of fun even if they went to beg their wives, but they could forget about exploring every single one of them even though it was a man’s romance.

"Why are you sighing? It’s not like your wives restrict you that badly, unlike mine!" Drake roared.

Davis didn’t stand down, "Why are you sighing? You have thousands of female worshipers whom you could bring to bed anytime!"

"As if!"

They yelled at each other, and their conversation quickly devolved for another five minutes straight before they recollected themselves and continued.
