Privacy policy
Last updated: October 11, 2026
This policy describes the current service. The operator's identity, location, applicable privacy-law details and retention schedule must be finalized before public launch. Privacy contact: support@mangayugen.com.
What we store
- Account: email, username, display name, password (stored only as a salted hash), avatar and bio if you add them. If you use Continue with Google, we receive your Google account ID, name and verified email — nothing else.
- Activity: reading progress, reading lists, ratings, reactions, posts, comments, friendships, messages, reading-room activity and uploads.
- Creator review: author name, description of your work, monetization interest, rights confirmation, application status and review history. Administrators use these to review applications; applications are not a public directory.
- Technical: session identifiers and IP-related abuse records. Rate-limit records may persist for up to roughly two days; copyright notices record the submitting IP. Hosting and security logs may contain request information.
- Support & copyright messages: messages, notices, contact details, signatures, declarations and review records you provide.
Purposes and visibility
We use this information to operate accounts, sync reading activity, show the content you publish, communicate with you, review applications and notices, protect the service and handle disputes. Profiles and published content are public. Use Settings to control supported reading and library visibility. Direct messages and private rooms are intended for their participants; authorized staff may access records where necessary for support, safety or legal obligations. Do not put confidential information in public posts or your application description.
Cookies
Functional cookies include sid for sign-in, gid for guest Support, short-lived gstate for Google sign-in and kind for the manga/novel choice. Cookies such as avif and net help select delivery formats. Theme and reader preferences use local storage. We currently do not operate an advertising-cookie program; a future advertising service would need an updated policy and any required consent controls.
Optional analytics and interaction recordings
Google Analytics 4 helps measure public-page visits and Microsoft Clarity helps us understand interactions and layout problems. Each is optional and is requested only after you enable its category. You can reject both, choose them separately, or withdraw consent with . Rejecting optional analytics does not affect reading or your account. Your preference is stored locally for up to 180 days.
If enabled, these providers can receive browser and device information, approximate location derived from network information, page information and interaction events. Clarity can record interactions and page appearance. Private account, authentication, message, creator-studio, admin, support and copyright-form pages are excluded. Clarity is also excluded from pages with query strings or fragments. We mask account menus and support inputs; do not place private information in public posts.
Our custom visit events omit URL queries, fragments, account identifiers and detailed referrers. Google advertising storage, personalization and Google Signals are disabled in this integration. Provider-side settings, retention and international-transfer safeguards must also be configured before public launch. Provider cookies may include _ga, _ga_…, _clck and _clsk. Withdrawing consent disables tracking and reloads the page to stop the previously loaded recording code.
Third parties
Google Fonts can receive ordinary browser request information when fonts load. Optional Google sign-in is handled under Google's privacy policy. Search and anime features use AniList for metadata; relevant searches are sent to that service, and external cover images may make browser requests to their providers. Hosting, backup and email providers process information needed to operate the service.
Optional analytics is covered by Google's privacy policy and Microsoft's privacy statement. These services may process information outside your country. The operator must assess the applicable arrangements before launch.
We do not currently sell personal information. We may disclose necessary information to service providers, where legally required, or to handle abuse and rights disputes. Relevant portions of copyright notices may be shared with affected uploaders so they can respond; we seek to avoid unnecessary disclosure of contact information. Provider locations and any required safeguards for international transfers must be assessed before launch.
Your rights
You can edit your profile, download supported account data and delete your account in Settings. Contact support@mangayugen.com for other access, correction, deletion or privacy requests. We may need to verify your identity. Rights, response deadlines and regulator complaint routes depend on applicable law; mandatory rights remain available.
Retention
Account and activity records are generally held while needed to provide the service. Deleting an account removes associated applications and ordinary account activity records, but published series can remain until withdrawal is processed. Support or copyright notices, security records and limited backups may remain where needed to handle claims, security or legal duties. A specific schedule for these records and backup expiry must be adopted before launch. Access controls and password hashing reduce risk, but no service can guarantee absolute security.
