About Blue Exorcist
This world consists of two dimensions joined as one, like a mirror. The first is the world in which the humans live, Assiah. The other is the world of demons, Gehenna. Ordinarily, travel between the two, and indeed any kind of contact between the two, is impossible. However the demons can pass over into this world by possessing anything that exist within it.

Per-episode chapter numbers come from the Blue Exorcist fandom wiki's episode infoboxes, which list pages. AnimeFillerGuide's episode-to-chapter table agrees with them episode by episode. Kyoto Saga episodes 3-4 have no page-level detail; both sources list ch. 18 & 20 for episode 3 and ch. 21-22, plus flashback bits of ch. 14, for episode 4. Each 'ch' range follows the main story progression and leaves out flashback pages reused from earlier chapters. Not included: the anime-original 2012 movie, the OVAs (Runaway Kuro, Snake and Poison, Spy Game) and the Ura Eku shorts. No anime beyond The Blue Night Saga had aired or had been dated as of 2026-10-10. The manga is ongoing in Jump SQ. It reached chapter 166 before a hiatus in early 2026 and was scheduled to resume with chapter 167 in July 2026, so the exact current chapter count is left null.
