About Kaiju No. 8
With the highest kaiju-emergence rates in the world, Japan is no stranger to attack by deadly monsters. Enter the Japan Defense Force, a military organization tasked with the neutralization of kaiju. Kafka Hibino, a kaiju-corpse cleanup man, has always dreamed of joining the force. But when he gets another shot at achieving his childhood dream, he undergoes an unexpected transformation.

Season 1 per-episode chapters come from the Kaiju No. 8 Fandom wiki episode pages (which give page-level splits); the Season 1 endpoint (chapter 38) is confirmed independently. Season 2 is season-level only: the wiki has chapter data for just one Season 2 episode (ep 19 = chapters 60-63), and no other per-episode source was found. The Season 2 endpoint (beginning of chapter 83) is supported by two independent sources (note.com, Dexerto FR); a few low-quality sites give other numbers (ch 68-70, ch 95), which were rejected. Not listed as parts: the compilation film Kaiju No. 8: Mission Recon (Mar 2025, recaps Season 1 plus the short 'Hoshina's Day Off'), and the spin-off shorts 'Narumi's Week at Work' (Sep 2026), neither of which advances the main manga story. The final-arc anime (Kanketsu-hen) had not aired as of 2026-10-10.
