Chapter 5373
Chapter 5370: Putting Up World Hegemon Grade Treasures For Auction
Nightveil was also only a thin line away from becoming an Exalt Spirit. If she hadn’t been piled up with work, she might’ve already made the transition to the next cultivation stage.
"Iris, do you have any interest?" Davis asked again with a blatant smile.
"Wha-?" Nightveil heaved a breath and shook her head, "No- no, as an Intelligence Vice Head, I need to be aware of your escapades and inform Mingzhi. It’s a priority one task."
"There’s such a task-ogh"
Davis was asking leisurely when Mingzhi appeared behind him and put him in a chokehold. She sent him a soul transmission, "Don’t play with Nightveil’s heart. She is essential, and nothing would run without her since half of the responsibilities are seen by her. Sometimes, I leave most of the work to her and come to you and take care of the sisters. You better not hurt her."
"I understand, understand." Davis also sent a soul transmission, inwardly laughing while tapping out outwardly.
"Excuse me then~ I have some work elsewhere to finish. I’ll return shortly."
Nightveil stood up, bowed, and left as she dispersed into a dark fog.
"..." Davis and Mingzhi watched her leave before the two of them sighed.
"I’m afraid Nightveil has grown distant." Davis said gently, "I still remember her trying to kill me back then and then talking with me like she’s a senior and a friend, but now..."
Mingzhi pouted as she gave him a slap on his arm again, "Who told you to grow so strong? You’re like an eldritch figure now who constantly knows what we’re thinking and can corrupt us with a single word. Afraid? The people who know about Level Three Obscure Intent are practically walking on thin ice when they’re near you. If it weren’t for your unbridled love and promises kept, even we wives would feel distant."
"..." Davis inwardly sighed.
Sure enough, intelligence officers were aware of what he was capable of.
The moment he entered this space, it was silent from start to finish, as though they were afraid that they’d be turned into slaves before they could even realize it.
"Damn it." Davis raised his hands and ran them over his blonde hair, "Level Three Obscure Intent is so evil. It’s practically tailor-made for evil people. I will not succumb-"
*Bzz~*
"What is it...?" Jiayi Crystalveil also seemed to have sent a short message.
Davis stood up and slapped the pylon, "The moment Code Cool Arachnid fulfills his mission, and you complete the task I gave you other than the auction, I will come meet you. I promise."
After he said it in a soft and gentle voice, he smilingly gazed at the pylon and sat back leisurely.
Mingzhi stood speechless. He just said he wouldn’t succumb but was practically living in it.
And as expected, thirteen minutes later, a reply arrived.
"Code Purplecoat Rider is eagerly awaiting to meet Code Coffin. It would be my life’s honor to meet the glorious hero of the era once again. As for the exchange, there’s no need to worry~"
Jiayi Crystalveil’s words were professional, but a hint of shyness lay beneath them.
Davis stood up again and discussed the details this time with her, no longer wasting time with a few words.
She said there would be a chance for Greater Law World Hegemon Grade resources to show up in the auction, courtesy of the other Upper Realms ruling powers who are all coming to the Six-Headed Hydra Upper Realm to watch the new ruler being chosen and make diplomatic relations.
Davis decided to put the Radiant Toxicbound Spiritgrass up for auction, which none of them knew anything about, and even Jiayi Crystalveil failed to obtain any information on it, as it seemed to be a rare resource whose only name was known. He guessed it would fetch a good price at the auction for those who needed it, but exchanges were strictly limited to other World Hegemon Grade resources.
Immortal Crystal or Transcendent Crystals were no longer useful in the Third Step, so every transaction at that level needs to be matched by an item or service at that level.
As for the Boundless Ocean Seaking Pearl, other than having a near-endless reservoir of water essence to enrich the sea, its uses were quite tame, with it only being able to create a formation in the sea that can create an empire, because it can control the ocean currents and the marine life within it to a great degree, but it also seemed to be related to some kind of inheritance in a Greater Realm.
Davis didn’t want it. He had asked Jade as well, who declined it, and his people weren’t really interested in training Water Laws even as he said it was quite overpowered with the right combination, like the hydra’s heavy and dark water, so he also decided to put it up for the auction along with the Radiant Toxicbound Spiritgrass.
But in the end, he decided to return the Boundless Ocean Seaking Pearl to the Treasury since Tia made a request, wanting to keep it for Ivy Aries.
He would’ve put up the Blackmoon Eclipse Fruit as a replacement since its uses were unknown, but Jiayi Crystalveil said it was used in the evolution of darkness-attributed spirits and was used in the rituals of Divine Exalts, so he kept it.
Hence, he had no choice but to put up the Ten Thousand Currents Seagrass on the auction list.
Jiayi Crystalveil also confirmed that the Ten Thousand Currents Seagrass was a main ingredient to a wondrous pill that was behind closed doors and gatekept by certain sects, so it can’t be made by them. It could be used to create the pill known as the Ten Thousand Currents Ocean Body Physique Pill, a literal Exalt Grade Physique that could be raised to the World Hegemon Grade. Such rare resources cannot be obtained easily, so it should definitely sell for a Greater Law Treasure.
Still, he was so reluctant to sell it, as it was a chance to keep a rare resource that could be used later on, but that could be pretty much summed up for all the other World Hegemon Grade Treasures as well. He needed to give an unneeded treasure to get a useful one.
Right now, these two resources, the Radiant Toxicbound Spiritgrass and Ten Thousand Currents Seagrass, were being nurtured by his avatar that was using the white stone of life.
Its uses indeed weren’t limited to ghostly yang energy once he flipped its energy circulation path.
Hopefully, they could get resources that were of a Greater Law, like Space Laws and other such laws.
Finally, they ended their discussion after having decided Azariel will set out in three days and arrive there barely on time.
Davis slapped Mingzhi’s buttcheeks and left her raging before he disappeared.
When he reappeared, he had left the sanctuary and was in the northern lands of the Golden Radiance Continent. In the snow world, he arrived before a beautiful icy-blue floating palace whose exterior slowly spun around a mountain peak, adopting strange movements to better absorb the surrounding heaven and earth energy.
"That’s quite troubling... but also interesting..."
Davis sighed lightly as he found the two birds together and even a guest staying in their accommodation when he wanted to meet the icy bird alone.
